"Barbara's Eskabot" is a world of artisans built on friendliness and offering a timeless aesthetic in a constant search for quality and durability. In 2019, after 35 years in Saint-Tropez, Barbara moved to the Village of Cogolin where you will be welcome all year round. You will be offered chic, elegant, ready-made, leather goods, shoes, jackets, accessories and jewellery in a relaxed and happy atmosphere. Barbara chooses each piece and travels regularly to meet the craftspeople and participate in their development. In Barbara's words :
My approach to my relationship with the craftsmen and women I deal with is crucial to the choices I make in what I bring back from my research and discovery trips.
My love for Kenya has allowed me to create relationships of friendship and participation with Kenyan people. I visit their workshops every year, work on models with them and, in return, I offer them quality economic outlets.
In Italy I have come to know a creative world of leather and I now work with 4 craftsmen, making shoes, leather goods and jackets, negotiating fantastic deals in exchange for real craftsmanship.
In France, I work with responsible and ethical designers of jewellery and ready-to-wear fashion.
Today we are all friends. Knowing, meeting, exchanging ideas with all these artisans is really close to my heart.
